Apollo Tyres’ Andhra Pradesh plant was awarded a 5-star grading for its compliance with best practice standards. K Prabhakar, Chief Manufacturing Officer at Apollo Tyres Ltd, expressed his satisfaction, stating, “My compliments to each and every member of AP Plant Team on this remarkable achievement. Procedure for the audit
The audit included reviewing documentation, interviewing senior management, employees, and other key stakeholders, and sampling operational activities. The audit measured performance against key health and safety management best practice indicators and reviewed nearly 60 component elements.
Mike Robinson, CEO of the British Safety Council, also commented on the achievement, saying, “The award of a five star grading following our occupational best practice Health and Safety Audit, is an outstanding achievement and is reflective of a proactive organisation, which is committed to continual improvement in its health and safety arrangements, and managing risks to workers’ health, safety and wellbeing. Apollo Tyres should be very proud of this achievement.”
