Hyundai Motor India Foundation launches 'Samarth Para-Sports Programme' for para-athletes

The program focuses on eight key sports categories: Para-Athletics, Para-Swimming, Para-Badminton, Wheelchair Tennis, Para-Archery, Para-Rowing, Para-Canoeing, and Para-Cycling.
New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Foundation has initiated the 'Samarth Para-Sports Programme', enrolling 20 para-athletes for the next three years. This is part of its broader 'Samarth by Hyundai' initiative, conducted in collaboration with the GoSports Foundation. The program will provide financial aid, sports science guidance, assistive devices, soft skill development, and mentorship from renowned coaches to help these athletes succeed on a global stage.

The program focuses on eight key sports categories: Para-Athletics, Para-Swimming, Para-Badminton, Wheelchair Tennis, Para-Archery, Para-Rowing, Para-Canoeing, and Para-Cycling. Out of the selected athletes, there are 15 emerging para-athletes aged 13 and above and 5 elite para-athletes aged 16 and above, all hailing from different parts of India.

The 'Samarth Para-Sports Programme' aims to empower these athletes with the resources and mentorship needed to excel, representing the indomitable spirit of India. By providing support across multiple dimensions of their training and development, the initiative hopes to propel Indian para-athletes to new heights on the international stage.
