MG Motor to launch its most premium electric car, Cloud EV, later this year

The Cloud EV is said to be a crossover-MPV measuring 4.3 meters with a stylish deisgn.
MG Motor is reportedly planning to launch a new electric car in India later this year.

As per reports the so called MG Cloud EV will be launched in India in September this year.

MG is expected to price it less than INR 20 lakh, some reports claimed while others quoted a price tag of around INR 25 lakhs. If priced around INR 20 lakh, the Cloud EV will be pitted against the likes of Tata Nexon, BYE E6, and the Mahindra XUV400. Maruti Suzuki is also expected to bring its upcoming EV, the Suzuki eVX, in the same price segment.

If launched, the Cloud EV will become MG's most premium electric vehicle in the country.

The Cloud EV is said to be a crossover-MPV measuring 4.3 meters with a stylish deisgn. The EV said to have a luxurious cabin along with features like 360-degree camera, dual digital screens, climate control, connected car tech, Level 2 ADAS diver assistance, powered seats, and sunroof, claimed a report of Times Now.

The MG Cloud EV is expected to have a 50.6 kWh battery promising superb 460 km range.

Currently, MG offers the Comet EV and ZS EV in India.

Earlier ET reported that the automaker is to launch two cars in India this year including an EV.

MG, one of the first automakers to launch an EV, introduced the Comet at INR 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom) after the success of their ZS EV in 2020.

MG has recently reduced hiked the prices of its Comet EV which is now priced between INR 6.99 lakh to INR 9.53 lakh.

The ZS EV's price was also raised which now costs from INR 18.98 lakh to INR 25.44 lakh.
