New Delhi: Mahle SmartBike Systems, the eBike division of automotive supplier Mahle, has unveiled its latest X30 drive system. The new system includes a motor, battery, HMI (Human Machine Interface), and other components, expanding the X-Series platform.

The Mahle X30 is a robust and functional unit, known for its lightweight, sporty, and intelligent Mahle characteristics, offering balanced and versatile assistance. The hub motor is designed to deliver excellent performance on various terrains, featuring a 45 Nm torque and weighing only 1.9 kg, according to a company release.

The Mahle X30 is fully compatible with all components, accessories, and the digital environment of the Mahle X20 system. This compatibility means the system can integrate with Pulsar ONE, eShifters, HMI, iX2 or iX3 batteries, and the External Battery eX1 (e185).

With the Mahle X30, the company introduces a versatile, robust, and technologically advanced solution. This system combines lightweight innovation with robust versatility, offering customized support for different riding conditions, enhancing the overall riding experience.

The system seamlessly integrates with X20 components and existing digital ecosystems, ensuring full compatibility. This allows for easy upgrades and access to advanced features, keeping consistent performance across the X Series, the release added.

The rear hub motor's design enables perfect system synergy by reducing energy losses and increasing energy efficiency by 15% compared to a mid-drive motor. This efficiency extends user activity up to nearly 190 km in an eco-friendly manner.

The X Series platform's versatility allows bike brands to create eBikes with either a pedal assist sensor or a cadence and torque sensor, providing varied riding experiences.

The Mahle X30 System is tailored to each bike brand's DNA, discipline, and customer philosophy. Motor mapping is defined alongside the manufacturer and implemented at the end of the production line. This process provides a unique bike and riding experience for each brand, even with the same system.

The launch of the Mahle X30 System involves prominent industry partners such as Bianchi in road biking, and Husqvarna and Stevens in other biking categories.
