Recently, Volkswagen India launched two new variants of the Taigun: the GT Line with a 1-litre turbo-petrol engine and the GT Plus Sport featuring a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol option.
Volkswagen India announced on Monday that it will feature six airbags as a standard offering across all the variants of its Taigun and Virtus models, both of which have received a 5-Star Global NCAP safety rating. Since the launch of its India 2.0 product portfolio, the company has been enhancing its offerings to meet the demands of Indian customers.

The subcompact crossover SUV Taigun was introduced in India in September 2021. The mid-sized sedan Virtus followed in March 2022.

"Our portfolio of India 2.0 cars will offer six airbags as standard across the line-up. With this, we are showcasing our commitment towards safer mobility," said Ashish Gupta, Brand Director at Volkswagen Passenger Cars India.

"We are also delighted to have achieved the over 1-lakh sales milestone by the Taigun and Virtus (since their introduction)," he added.
